Park Lane
The Park Lane, a Nob Hill landmark was re-imagined into a gracious welcoming space. Interior Designer, Greta Carlstrom Design Studio transformed the traditional property by creating elegant luxury residences. Beginning the project with restoring the grand lobby, presenting a new color scheme, furniture selections and an elegant carpet fitting the history of the property. The original Italian murals were carefully re-stored and brought back to their vibrant historic elegance. GCD Design Studio hired the best mural artist in San Francisco to carefully restore the historic value of the original designs. The next project was to re-design the lobby and fountain gardens. Greta brought her east coast formal garden sensibilities to the west coast, designing a boxwood and Italian tree garden that suited the property.
GCD Design Studio then transformed the Park Lane residential spaces into luxury residences. A vision of fluid, light filled living spaces were designed for the way we enjoy living today. Creating grand open spacious residences, walls were removed bringing in the light and views previously not taken advantage of in earlier times. A mood of elegance was created throughout the twenty-seven homes and the Penthouse with accompanying Pied-a-Tier.
GCD Design Studio created balance by blending classical architecture with modern finishes. Using design principles to embrace performance, quality, functionality and aesthetic. Luxurious materials, elegant details, bringing in a refined design aesthetic to each of the projects, a timeless design. Greta selected all of the finishes and surfaces in the residences, interior/exterior lighting and working with the architect Michael Harris on the structural design of re-imagined spaces. All project management by GCD Design throughout the project.
The Park Lane, impeccably designed luxury residences, the final stage GCD Studio created all marketing for the building. A Modern Sense of Grandeur, West Coast Luxury Reborn.
